Experiment dates: 2020-03-04 - 2020-06-17 Dataset uploaded: Jun 2020 Last updated: Jun 2020
Keywords: [T cell] [human blood immunophenotyping ] [COVID-19] Manuscripts:
Organizations: University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Modena, (Italy)
Purpose: We provide an in-depth investigation of the T cell compartment in a total of 39 patients affected by Covid-19 pneumonia.
Conclusion: For CD4+ T lymphocytes, we found a significant decrease in the number of naïve, central and effector memory cells and an increased percentage of terminally differentiated cells, regulatory T cells, and of those that were activated or that were expressing PD1 and CD57 markers. Analyses of patients' CD8+ T cells showed decreased numbers of naïve and central memory and increased amounts of activated cells, accompanied by increased percentages of activated cells and of lymphocytes expressing CD57, PD1, or both.
Comments: Compensated exported FCS files. 5000 events for CD4 T cells and 2500 events for CD8 T cells.
