Experiment Overview

Repository ID: FR-FCM-Z2JN Experiment name: Major populations of equine PBMC MIFlowCyt score: 93.54%
Primary researcher: Joy Tomlinson PI/manager: Brad Rosenberg Uploaded by: Joy Tomlinson
Experiment dates: 2017-08-21 - 2018-11-13 Dataset uploaded: Apr 2020 Last updated: Apr 2024
Keywords: [B cells] [T cell] [PBMC] [NK cells] [T cells] [Tbet] Manuscripts:
Organizations: Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, Baker Institute for Animal Health, Ithaca, NY (United States)
Purpose: Phenotype equine PBMC by flow cytometry for comparison to single cell RNA-Sequencing. Panel M was used to determine the proportion of T cells, B cells, monocytes, NK-like cells (CD3+CD16+), and alternatively activated monocytes (CD14+CD16+). Panel T was used to determine CD4+ and CD8+ T cells and replicating Ki67+ T cells. Panel B1 and Panel B2 were used to characterize Tbet expression in B cells and co-expression of T bet with other markers.
Conclusion: Flow cytometry and scRNA-Seq quantification of these cell populations showed very high correlation. Horses have a markedly high proportion of Tbet+ B cells.
