Purpose: Compare the expression of cardiac marker proteins, cardiac troponin T (TNNT2), and IRX4 between the biculture (fibroblast and hiPS-cardiomyocyte) and triculture (endothelial cell, fibroblast, and hiPS-cardiomyocyte) in the heart-on-a-chip.
Conclusion: The tri-culture group exhibited significantly higher IRX4 expression compared to the bi-culture group. Additionally, the percentage of cells co-expressing cTnT and IRX4 was notably elevated in the tri-culture group in contrast to the bi-culture group.
